I’ve never understood why rain, snow and storms are seen as bad, but scorching hot weather is seen as good. I think hot weather is overrated and cold weather is underrated. You’d never hear someone say “the weather is so hot, it’s going to deteriorate where people on the beach, increasing their chances of getting skin cancer”, but heavy rain or snow doesn’t “the rain snow is so heavy, it poses no threats at all, other than going about your daily routine”. Please don’t refer to rain or snow as being neg...

I’m not against hot weather, it obviously is part of how life works, but all I’m pointing out is the unnecessary personal opinion of labelling a particular type of weather, as more or less favourable, as though it constitutes as fact. Comments associated with any weather other-than sun, like, “it’s not looking good...”, “it’ll deteriorate...”, they’re useless interjections.

I mean... a powerful enough heat wave can kill people, but that's very rare and normal hot weather just isn't a big deal. You're trying to compare people getting sweaty (hotter doesn't mean more skin cancer... and even that would just be a nebulous "higher risk in the future") to extreme precipitation and/or winds than can cause immediate property damage or death? I ain't seein your point man.

!:00 PM, about 1/2 inch, but it's heavy coming down. About seven miles from KCI (a/k/a MCI). Good reporting. Thank you.

Man, sure hope all travelers will be paying attention on their way home from the holiday. Gotta go slow, I can see it's gonna be piling up quickly, white outs, slick roads and inattentive tired drivers create treacherous conditions
