I have a strange question. Are you actually drinking alchohol in the other Stephen King videos or is it fake?

Thank you for including Dolores Claiborne - best King adaption I've seen. SO incredibly well told, and so close to the book, though with some new things in it as well.
That being said: Where is The Green Mile? It deserves a place on this list for sure!

Um, Dead Zone should not be an honorable mention - it should be in the top ten.Kicks butt over Stand by Me or Misery.

I've been to the hotel 1408 was based on, and even that room itself. It's actually a really cool place.
Expensive though, I was only visiting a friend who ACTUALLY rented a room, and only got to 1408 due to a tour.

If anyone is wondering what Stephen King adaptation Stephen King hates more than all others, it's Carrie. He has said in recent years that while it isn't really an adaptation of his book, The Shining is a good movie, but when asked about Carrie, he still repeatedly talks about how much he hates it.
The problem with the Carrie movies (both theatrical versions) is that they don't understand who the villain is, and what Carrie is. Carrie is a victim, a victim to Chris, a victim to her mother, a victim to a social setting that demands conformity, and most importantly a victim to her own powers. Both theatrical films make Carrie into a villain, when in the book Sue Snell (the stand-in for Stephen King that he puts into all of his books) straight up says that Carrie was a victim of her powers and that she (Sue) regrets being unable to save her.
Also, Carrie is based on two real girls that Stephen King knew in high school. One killed herself and the other died alone of a grand mal seizure in a tiny apartment. Stephen King has said his biggest regret in life is not standing up for the two of them when there were bullied, even though he knew it was wrong. Turning the amalgamation of them into a bloody slasher villain while making the real villains (Chris and her boyfriend) into cool rebels is the reason that movie is fucking awful.
