  • Here are our sources: It is very fascinating to see that the both extremes, vegans and people on meat heavy diets hate this video. Usually we are attacked more from one direction – in this cases both ends of the spectrums are really upset. Anything relating to nutrition is very controversial unfortunately. Someone on twitter posted this: There is research showing strong links between dietary choices and social identity:

People love hearing good news about their bad habits.

@Some Guy I would like to see some evidence that vegan live longer than people who regularly, but sparingly eat meat. The evidence actually suggests that genetics has far more to play in longevity of life than does diet (when diet is considered within reason). Norwegians are known to live a long time, and they eat a lot of fish and seafood (but their genetic pool tends to stay rather Norwegian). Asian groups like South Koreans and the Japanese (and the Okinawan) eat a lot of fish and soy sauce. They al...

My aunt was a vegetarian, never drank or smoked and worked out every day. She died of cancer recently. Just live your life and do what makes you happy. Death does not care if you are a good person or not. He sees you the same way he sees an ant. When it’s your time. It’s your time. Don’t worry be happy and accept it. 🤷‍♂️

  • Bleilock1  6 hours ago

@oaksterdam and yet when non vegan gets cancer it has everything to do with meatIf you didnt understand my sarcastic anology, i have just explained the pointIts essentially hypocrisy or not understanding of hierarchy of evidence from vegan side of this debate

What about the accumulation of mercury in fish?

Lailah Fofana and the accumulation of fish in mercury?

  • Absolute Newt  3 hours ago

yes, fish do contain Mercury. As a matter of fact, all sea critters that you consume contains some dosage of Mercury.HOWEVER, it will only take effect if you ONLY eat nothing but fish, like say...30+ different types of fish.Besides fish has higher chance to prevent heart disease

1: What about the heavy metals contamination and the presence of microplastics in fish and seafood?2: Shouldn't you guys advise about the risks involving the consumption of chicken skin?3: I'm pretty sure a lot of people would like to hear about the added hormones and pesticides present in meat.

  • WierdHairGrows  6 hours ago

Alex Alves I never eat chicken skin anyways. They could’ve said that it’s bad for you, but I think that’s common knowledge, and it’s up to kurzgesgat wether they think it’s important enough to include in their video or not

@xchronicxblaiz3x I would never suggest that people subsist totally on meat, in fact, in my opinion meat should be eaten sparingly, however, it should be consumed as part of a normal diet. Rabbits, squirrels, boar, wild turkey, deer, hell, if we're talking survival you can throw in cats, dogs, and horses for that matter. But too many people suggest we shouldn't be eating any meat at all, which is false, false along the same lines as people that think we should be eating a large quantity of meat every d...

  • WaveGunner232  7 hours ago

LMAO, the comments begin shitting on Kurzgesagt so they favorite a comment unrelated to that fact on Cognitive Dissonance. The hidden claim is that the criticism that is being seen is cognitive dissonance.(Or my bullshit detectors have been watching too much PJW)

  • Nicole Elsie  yesterday

@FKBUSH1 That comment made me laugh. This video is ridiculous.

  • Monica  yesterday

There’s mercury and plastic in seafood. The Inuit didn’t have this contamination problem; they had poor longevity, and osteoporosis. They also ate berries and other plant-based foods when available.

  • lombardo141  5 hours ago

Monica they ate the contents of the animals small and large intestine. That’s how they got their veggies.
