The #MeToo movement has rapidly gained support and criticism as more women have come forward to share their experiences. While the media portrays the movement as divided, our research found that women across generations often see eye to eye on issues of sexual harassment and #MeToo in general.

+Vox Why isn't Harvey Weinstein in jail, but Bill Cosby is? #PizzaGate is the hashtag you should be using.

  • Vox *I really feel that you need to explain what HARASSMENT or SEXUAL HARASSMENT really is, differentiate from COURT or WOO*

  • Xyon  (Mar 20, 2018)

*This angers men as much as it angers women* stop looking at this as a one-sided problem.

  • Terrence Dayton  (Mar 27, 2018)

+zichoria I'm not sure, but I don't think that's what she meant. I think she wanted men to look at how their behavior affects these women that have been "harassed". She's basically saying that sexual harassment wont stop until the perpetrators (men) change their behavior. That's why they need to be "involved in the conversation".

  • Nixaurum  (Mar 21, 2018)

Karen Blush Would anyone really notice or care, though?

  • OnlyStolenMemes  (Mar 20, 2018)

Does the #MeToo movement have men involved on the harassed side? I'm very sure it's not just women being harassed.

  • Squidward  (Oct 6, 2018)

OnlyStolenMemes I've been sexually assaulted by many woman

  • first last  (Mar 25, 2018)

when men speak out they get laughed at and not taken seriously

  • Jolly Swagman  (Mar 20, 2018)

I was groped by a teacher in the 8th grade. I didn't tell anyone for years until the #MeToo movement came up and I was discussing it with a friend (who had posted a #MeToo post to her facebook). When I asked her if I should post a MeToo post as well she became upset and accused me of lying about my experience. She hasn't talked to me in close to a year and I never made the post, for fear of other women reacting like her, because males apparently can't be sexually harassed.

  • FartingFatso69  (3 hours ago)

For a heterosexual boy or man to be forced into any gay sex act I would think would be even more traumatic than a straight woman being sexually assaulted by a man. They like men. We dont. No straight little boy or man wants another man groping them and could seriously damage them mentally and maybe become confused about their sexuality which would never have happened otherwise. Women who dont understand this and think they're the only victims deserve to rot in hell

  • Tech Freak  (Jun 26, 2018)

brntlj The worst part is that even men will have trouble believing that men can be sexually harassed assaulted by women barring sodomy. Honestly we're our own worst enemy.

  • Science with Katie  (Mar 20, 2018)

Thanks for doing a piece on the #metoo movement, I'm sure a lot of people appreciate it. It helps keep the discussion of the problem going, negative or positive.

  • HammerBroGH  (Mar 21, 2018)

this was a very passive aggressive comment

  • Dragon1717  (Mar 20, 2018)

    Not a problem tho

  • CozmicK G  (Mar 20, 2018)

The last person had a good point. We need to also acknowledge how sexual harassment against men is never taken seriously, and how men are far less likely to report it.Edit: Wow, this comment got liked by Vox and 500 people. Thanks!

  • Dale Val  (Sep 25, 2018)

CozmicK G in 1975 a an older fat lady tried takes my pants off while I sleeping I woke up told her WTF eew. Her name was Erma maybe I should bring this up 40 some years later. Maybe as she goes for a promotion.

  • Terrence Dayton  (May 19, 2018)

Michel Harris lol what the hell is the "male community"?? You people are living in your world, where every identity group has it's own community. It's like you can't break out of that way of thinking. Men are not responsible for what other men do, any more than women are. If a man is his brother's keeper, so is his sister.

  • Anan Anwar  (Mar 20, 2018)

What constitutes "harassment". I feel like the vagueness of such a survey actually works to under cut the seriousness of the issue.

  • Donut Chan  (Mar 21, 2018)

Anan Anwar like I said, context matters and I was only defining harassment. Flirting in itself isn't harassment, nor is a mere acknowledgement of existence, though those can make one uncomfortable that wasn't necessarily what I meant.I'm not saying that people should be shielded from awkward situations just because' it's all harassment as I define it'.An example on something a little more innocuous. I have long hair. As such, people usually comment on it in a positive manner. People also touch or p...

  • Anan Anwar  (Mar 21, 2018)

"harassment is any action towards you that makes you feel uncomfortable". Forgive my frankness, but i'm afraid that bar is set too low. This covers everything from being raped to being asked out on a date. We shouldn't feel entitled to be sheltered from mild discomfort, and failed flirting should not be a crime no matter how unwelcome. Social movements of this kind should really stem from more nuanced rhetoric. Throwing the word harassment around like its used in this video HURTS men and wo...

  • TC Does Stuff  (Mar 20, 2018)

If a men gets harassed by another men, can he #metoo ? If he gets harassed by a woman can he #metoo ? How about if a woman gets harassed by a woman? These may be more unlikely, but I'm sure there are people like this somewhere. So what does #metoo really stand for?

  • Jamie H  (Apr 23, 2018)

Yes men have said #metoo example: Brendan Fraser

  • Oliver  (Apr 1, 2018)

Terrence Dayton it's primarily men who commit violent crime. Why should sexual violence be any different

  • Luc Groshens  (Mar 20, 2018)

Everybody agrees with the message, but this video fails to address the main issue with MeToo: it's trial by public opinion

  • Celina K  (Apr 9, 2018)

mr. mr. On capital hill there should be protection for unpaid workers and harassment settlements wouldn't be paid for with federal taxes. Dr. Larry Nassar ( youngest victim was 6).Jaclyn Friedman had similar critique of the movement. You know, people are doing their best

  • mr. mr.  (Apr 2, 2018)

Celina k then fix the damn system. Dont just complain. You just ruin a few peoples lives who didnt do anything and dont actually bring justice to most of the actual victims.

  • Roche  (Mar 20, 2018)

I’m only 22 and already been harassed by three different men on the same job so yeahhh #metoo and men needs to acknowledge this problem so this can stop

  • Nikhil H  (Oct 12, 2018)

Richie you stop giving looks.just see the ground..see no girl will talk properly when man talk with her, it's of more attitude in girl.if the talk go viral then he pull Roche to talk it's harash for girl.what is this nonsense.you all women will deserve it..now men has to be one and all with irrespective of anything.
