  • My first trip to Spain I started off with Madrid where I had a tapas tour and then explored the OLDEST restaurant in the world! Here are the links to that video then I went to Barcelona and explored some of the old cathedrals, walked the ancient streets and ate at an amazing seafood restaurant called La Paradeta

Unfortunately the Spanish don't do beef very well, it's often very tough and dry. Stick to the seafood and rice dishes.

Seafood are very cheap in Spain. However their cooking is too oily and salty. Not a big fan of that.

Barcelona much better than Madrid. Madrid full of bogans and not as good tapas. tapas not even close to the ones in the north and east coast. Check this video, it speaks by itself

When Mike says the room is not expensive but it’s over 200$ a night and when you have to be at one you need it to be 80$ or less a night....😭😭😭 it’s hard being broke and watching these amazing videos. I live vicariously through you Mikey.

Can anyone provide link to Mikey's video in San Sebastian? I think he went to a restaurant called Etxebarri (could be wrong) but I cannot find it anymore.

Mr. Chen - you did a video of your food experience in San Sebastian. This was the link but it has somehow vanished. It's the video with the peas.

Madrid has terrible Chinese food, lived there for a decade and I missed decent Chinese takeaway. For future visits you should find a tiny Chinese restaurant located in an underground car park in plaza de espańa. It’s always full of Chinese people and always has a line. it’s in an odd place but it’s a bit famous for being authentic. The rest of them just throw soy sauce on noodles and sell it to Spanish people who don’t know any better.
