My pet ants have come back from the dead! One of my ant colonies, whom we have had to say goodbye to in the past, is making an epic return to my Ant Room! I am extremely excited about their return, but this time, I have an epic plan for their ant farm terrarium! In this episode, we attempt to create a self-feeding system, complete with springtails, plants, and mites. The outcome of this ambitious biological ant project will blow you away! This video was shot in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

Special thanks to nature photographer and biologist Alex Wild for allowing his photos to be used in this video. Check out his amazing nature photography and order some prints:

Like if you want live prey

    nothing wrong with live feedings
    insect brains are extremely primitive
    meaning they don’t really feel

basically they just react to instincts like feeding instincts due to hunger or thirst

sexual instincts due to pheromones and chemical reactions in the brain that tells the bug to mate

instincts that tell the bug to react to attack (prey) or defend from becoming (prey)

insects can’t comprehend death or life
    fear or love
only basic primal instincts that will preserve their life

    they aren’t sentient beings

also live feedings of crickets or roaches would be more educational and enrichment for the ants and viewers

because you could explain how the ants hunt and how they work together to bring down prey

Uhm even tho its over. Can i say who is gaia?
She's the goddest of the earth and the creator of titans and people and finnaly the gods. Fun fact sheeps ruled the earth before she became to be. Another interesting and mysterious fact is. it was believed that she got pregnant for no reason and didn't need to be fertilized
