A Timeline of Ice and Fire (Complete: Prehistory - 300 AC)

  • A Timeline spanning from the Dawn Age to the dragonlords of Valyria who ruled thousands of years later and the Targaryen Kings of Westeros after that, extending to the year 300 and the War of the Five Kings. Based on the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin.

Disclaimer: In creating this Timeline it became apparent many of the dates provided are educated estimates, as GRRM himself has stated he does not have an exact timeline. Therefore much of the work that has gone into organizing the events of these book chronologically was done by fans, primarily from Westeros.org

The Following Links will take you to the forum discussion and the document they have created. The work they did on this Timeline is absolutely incredible and they deserve much of the credit for figuring out many of the Dates covered in this video.

So, according to this chronology, only 2 years passed between Ned's execution and the Purple Wedding and all the rest of the events took place in the year 300 AC, right? I thought there had passed more than 5-7 years.

Ever wonder if wierwoods are kinda like ego from the mcu? Like is bran gonna spread them across all of Westeros again in an attempt to become even more powerful as his one true goal as the 3 eyed raven?

Watching this makes the disaster that was Season 8 of the show all the more painful. All this to end with 6 episodes of shitty writing.
