I don't care when the last two books are finished, so long as they are done to the best of George's ability

I'm really finger-crossed on this thing. He's old, you know.

    Amen brother.

Dan 123 Bich where are the wimpy men, the only one I see is you

  • Squidneythe Squid  1 months ago

Dan 123 the wamen(you are not part of the bro army to me, Felix doesn’t deserve you as a fan) have always been bad ass, but the writing hasn’t always been ass like the last few seasons

  • Pistachio Macaroon  3 months ago

I'm so happy he said no to Hollywood. "I said the sexiest word in Hollywood----NO"What a badass

  • J3SS3 H  2 months ago

And then he said, “Yes.” Which I am glad that he did, as it made the series so well known and was mostly a fair adaptation of his series.... up until Season 5 where the show did the exact opposite of what George intended and only started to focus on the marketable “Hollywood Archetypes” and cut off entire plotlines/characters of his vast world of stories (i.e. Dorne, Lady Stoneheart, Griff, Victarion, Barriston Selmy, Mance Rayder’s survival, Jeyne Poole, The Manderlys, etc).

Oh boy watching this after s08e03 is quite sad....

  • Predator Pinsir  2 months ago

@THE CRAZY GUY When exactly did I make up 'fanciful bullshit'? I don't think I made up anything. All a wanted was a satisfying conclusion and we sure as hell did not get that by having Arya skydive on top of the nightking from nowhere.

  • THE CRAZY GUY  2 months ago

@Predator Pinsir seriously though was you not expecting the night king too did in that episode ? I certainly was so it's your fault you made up this fanciful bulshit .He was never the main bad never in fact

  • fine93  2 months ago

"these guys seem like they really know what they are doing"

  • `ArxsvZ *  a months ago

I believe it was more of the screenwriters error as it's been prevalent even before season 8 as they ran off the source material. 21:00 I wouldn't trust these guys to write an original and decent episode anyway.

  • Kevin Begley  1 months ago

@Brandon Dennis This is not exactly true if you care to dig deeper. I'm not going to delve into it again. Doesn't matter to me anymore.

  • Kevin Robinson  2 months ago

"they all wanted to simplify the story"Oh boy....if GRRM knew what was coming

  • Cole Eckerman  15 days ago

Lightning Farron There was some things changed because the tv audience would need more episodes to understand the large book, like little finger giving Sansa to Boltons, and I wish in the show he was more like able and people trusted more, but both characters are great and they converted it well.

  • Lightning Farron  15 days ago

@Cole Eckerman You don't read the books, do you?

  • xedasxedas  3 months ago

    Sexiest word of hollywood...NO. Priceless

  • smugman  23 days ago

He just likes saying NO. Is the book ready? NO

  • Hauuagdb Hshg  1 months ago

@Darth Mucus because the show went downhill since season 5, when JRRM had 2 more books to write. If he maintained "creative control", we would still wait for the "Winds of winter" to be announced. You can't stop giving shit about the show at season 5, but then return in season 8, when it's already a different story. So, at some point in time Martin had a choice to maintain the show, or to write the books. And Martin's shitload years old, by the way. And he understands that pretty we...

People havent been able to talk about fantasy without talking about Tolkien ever since LoTR. Now they’ll have to transition into a conversation about GRRM afterwards too.

  • No not really. Tolkien finished his series.

  • p1rgit  2 months ago

@Audience 72 werllll... seen "The Hobbit"? ;) the book was superior writing, superior to books LotR because of better composition and brevity (LotR books are good, just that The Hobbit is better) films are... not so good, to put it mildly. needlessly stretched just to make more money outta it. i liked mostly appendices of books in LotR :)
