Safety first. This is the right thing to do.

Man Saha not useless. When you crash at 600+ kph it ensures you don’t suffer by separating your torso :)

  • Man Saha  (6 days ago)

The seat belt in plane is useless. There should be a plane belt attached to big parachute to slow the speed of cruising

  • Travis Thompson  (Mar 13, 2019)

This took long enough..... We acted much faster with tainted lettuce ..........

Its all about finance lives don’t matter until people are killed the cause is irrelevant until its headlines in the mainstream .

  • Real Kevin Thompson  (Mar 13, 2019)

Pray for the 300 plus people this software has already killed. They need to find the true cause and then prove it won't happen again.

DJSbros Well you understand 737 max? Go book the flight with 737 max. It is not the pilot not understanding it, it is a BIG BUG if you understand programming.

Progammer is now a silent killer

  • Pete fromtheIsland  (Mar 13, 2019)

Yesterday it was money before lives. Today they worked out the size of the law suits if there was a Boeing 737 MAX to go down in Canada.

  • Ardent Fan  (Mar 14, 2019)

+Dan Heuser ......It is not the question of whether it is a Liberal or a Conservative government. But it is certainly a question of a COMPETENT government that is capable of making wise decisions.

  • Dan Heuser  (Mar 13, 2019)

+Ardent Fan Are you of the belief that a Conservative government would've been quicker to ground the planes? I would doubt that, given how "pro-business" they claim to be.

  • Hector Martinez  (Mar 13, 2019)

Just booked my flight but made sure it wasnt one of these sketchy planes.

+Mihan Baseball you have a better chance of being in a car crash then airplane accident they say

  • GH1618  (Mar 13, 2019)

This is huge. They should have done this shortly after the Lion Air crash.

  • Man Saha  (6 days ago)

Veev M If you are a licensed and best Pilot in the world, you should be worried to ride this specific plane.

  • Stable Genius  (Mar 14, 2019)

Lionairre should never have crashed, you have been tricked by the media and government to not hold airlines accountable...

  • Lam rof  (Mar 13, 2019)

I guess they calculated the embarrassment outweighs the profit to be lost if they grounded the plane. They wouldn't have flew it anywhere else except to the US anyway.

  • Kolleen Nelson  (Mar 14, 2019)

Surprisingly we have grounded them too. I really didn’t think the US would, but I’m so relieved we did!

  • canuckgal  (Mar 13, 2019)

I would have expected Canada to come to this decision earlier, but thank God we finally did. Lives before money.

  • Penguin Conversations  (Mar 14, 2019)

lmao you think they care about lives? If their passengers get glassed en masse they'll be paying $$$ for days. Make no mistake, AC doesn't give two shits about your life.

+akui88 canada is a dog of usa since long ago

  • Eddie b  (Mar 13, 2019)

The new information that Marc Garneau figured out was the size of the law suits that would follow if a 737 Max went down in Canada. It ridiculous that Canadian Transport Authorities would wait soo long to ground these planes. It wasn't Marc Garneau or Justin Trudeau travelling aboard these planes but, rather it was regular every day naive Joe blows. The credit here goes to China which grounded all its 737 Max Airplanes before anyone else. While everyone was calling it political.
