*Soooo many things went RIGHT with this Sinking !!!!* Even the Captain did few things right in making the Ship drift and rest over sea bed. You should see how Sinkings are done in Korea. It Sure resembles the National Character. The Captain ordered 300 School kid passengers to stay in their Cabins for further order, and then Secretly made a bare feet escape, all by himself. It looks like an ELITE Coast guard boat was sent SPECIFICALLY on the order of the ball-less President, to hide the Captain an...

R.I.P to my grandmothers sister who passed away 7 years ago in Jan. 13th, in this horrible disaster. She was one of the 32 who died. The captain should have gotten a bigger sentence. It was a sad time for all the families who’s relatives died on the ship.Edit: Thank you so much for the support everyone! I really appreciate it and I hope to one day clear my mind of this incident.

redmen noel I’m writing a novel on the sinking of the Concordia. What’s your name and age and where did you saw his grandmother’s sister before she died

  • Angel Santos  (6 hours ago)

I’m so sorry for the loss of your grandmother’s sister. RIP to the 32 victims of the Concordia. I hope Schettino rots in prison and understand that manslaughter and abandoning ship before the passengers is a bad idea. Captains are meant to stay on his/her ship until the end

wow, so it happened 100 years after the titanic, and on friday the 13th. That is just mind boggling.

  • alefin  (3 days ago)

Another interesting fact from wikipedia:"At the vessel's launch at Sestri Ponente on 2 September 2005, the champagne bottle, released by model Eva Herzigová, failed to break when swung against the hull the first time, an inauspicious omen in maritime superstition."100 years after Titanic, Friday the 13th, failed bottle break... What a coincidences.

That conversation between the coast guard and the captain is the most furiously Italian thing I’ve ever heard

  • Michael Rohan  (Jan 13, 2019)

+NinjaTyler Yes I know. I am pointing out that the Italian captain abandoned the people that the Italian coast guard is trying to save.
