You know a band is good when it leaves its usual stuff, and still sounds epic

I got my tickets. Time to see that Ford Commercial in person.

    Can you re-list this?

  • Andrew Phipps Phillips

Verses sound like "The In-Crowd" sung by Matt Bellamy or Brandon Flowers......
Still, if you've made "Insomniac","Dookie","Nimrod" & "American Idiot" then you can afford to be lazy as fuck, especially when you're heading towards your autumnal years....

I don't like it. At first I thought they were mocking the kind of bands that sing in a super high pitch voice, but it kept going and made me sad. Throw this track out and try again.

Just when we got the pure punk album we all were craving
Why does this sound like those pop-“alt rock” bands that mainstream hipster kids listen to?

So for right now I'm kinda disappointed with this new song. Not because it's inherently bad or anything but it was just a huge left turn from what I was expecting from Green Day. I think I was so confused it prevented me from actually giving this song a chance. I'll listen to it a couple more times throughout the week and let it set in. Who knows maybe it's actually good after you forget your original expectations.
