UPDATE: I just got confirmation from Tim that the NWC cart was SOLD today for $23,000 to a private collector (who will remain anonymous). Crazy right?! Congrats to Tim and his family. I hope the $$ helps his brother get his life back on track!

worth with collectibles are such a vague word. just cause it isnt "worth 20k" doesnt mean you wont find someone willing to pay that price for it!

a girl with a phone and a screw driver is all it takes to authenticate a 20k cartridge? hmmmmm

Imagine if he tried to trade it into GameStop

Guy: Hiya, I believe I have a rare nes cartridge and I was wondering if I could see how much you’d give me for it.

GameStop Employee: Best we can do is 2 dollars.

I still remember being 7-8yrs old and going over to my cousins house. Across the street was a kid a year older than us 2 and he had older brothers (at the time they were in high school around early 90s). long story short he had this NES game with numbers and sliders on it, and had a generic label. Still blows my mind that laying around in the basement play room of a middle class suburbia in nowhere, NC was this cart.

Go Seattle. Hold it down for the home town. But we do have the Nintendo head quarters here.
