Why is Letterman such a fucking moron with a phone? I know two-year-olds who can use one. That schtick might have been funny the first time, maybe for about ten seconds, but then it just got real old real fast.

I always enjoyed how Dave would refer to her building as a different company each time 😄

I had forgotten just how great the NBC 12:30 AM Letterman show was. To this day there is nothing like it on television. It was like a cable access show was plopped on Network TV with no supervision and you were just hanging out with the guy. Quirky odd ball guests, crazy bits like the above, and the grumpy sarcastic Dave. Still the best.

1:16:46 Dave: "Bill Hicks will be here tomorrow (May 23, 1990)."

I had seen Meg on the show, but never a studio appearance. They had a still photo from her first appearance in the montage at the end of the Dave’s last CBS show, but I didn’t know who it was. Thanks for solving that mystery for me.

You'd think after 11 times , Dave would have memorized the number and he would be able to dial without looking at a piece of paper.
