- May 11, 2014 on Mother's Day (Sunday) the Storm Prediction Center issued a Huge Area of Moderate Risk for Tornadoes from Southern Central KS to Southeastern NE to the NorthWestern Tip of MO to Central Iowa. Storm Chasers Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski intercepted the a storm South of Glenvil, NE that produced a Multiple Vortex Tornado before disappearing into the rain. This storm produced tornado after tornado that would touch down briefly and then disappear. Jeff called 911 in the hopes they would inform the NWS of the tornadoes they had shot. Storm Chaser Dustin Wilcox was south of the storm for a time had a clear view of the tornado that Jeff and Kathryn could no longer see as it became wrapped in rain. They then intercepted the storm and filmed the wedge tornado near Sutton, NE.
TwisterChasers followed the rain wrapped tornado to Ceresco, NE where they encountered 80+ mph winds.
